We would like to assure you that the management and staff of Edison Mercantile, LLC are closely monitoring the recommendations and guidelines issued by local, state and federal Public Health Agencies with regards to the COVID-19 virus. We are enacting all CDC advised measures to avoid contact and reduce its spread.
As a facility, free of the Big 9 allergens, with a trained team of cleaning and food safety professionals, we are fortunate to have exceedingly high standards and practices already in place to ensure these guidelines are met. We will continue to maintain the health and safety of our products, employees, and procedures.
We have daily conversation with our staff, and collectively we feel a strong responsibility to adhere to the principles that have guided us since we opened our doors: to offer our customers high-quality, organically certified, safe ingredients.
The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control has said that while animals in China were the likely source of the initial infection, the virus is currently spreading from person to person via respiratory droplets (sneezing, coughing, etc.) Previous outbreaks of related coronaviruses, such as SARS-CoV and MERS-CoV, showed that transmission through food consumption did not occur. Presently, leading experts suggest there is no evidence to suggest that coronavirus is any different in this respect.
Food Safety is the primary focus of our family owned operation. Edison Mercantile, LLC. will continue to be vigilant with our robust cleaning and sanitation protocols, including the independent lab analyzes for all lots of all ingredients (COA available on all product pages of this site).
We encourage the same vigilance toward health and safety from all of our customers. This includes frequent hand washing, for a minimum of 20 seconds, to avoid the spread of any flu-like illness.
Edison Mercantile, LLC., will continue to monitor the situation and continue to follow all public health recommendations.
